Lawal Fari obtained a B.Sc. in Economics from Bayero University, Kano. He commenced his career in 2001 at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and has gained over 14 years’ experience in corporate finance, funds/portfolio management, funds raising, investment banking, financial analysis and compliance.
Mr Fari is the Assistant Vice President of the Portfolio Management Division where he acts as compliance officer and is saddled with the responsibility of coordinating research and investment analyses, preparing budgets and financial forecasts and report variances; coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting; research and recommend investment opportunities in Shari’ah compliant equities and project finance, ensure quality control over financial transaction and financial reporting.
Lawal Fari is also a SEC licensed capital market operator; a member of Commodity Brokers Association of Nigeria, CBAN under the aegis of the Nigerian Commodity Exchange (NCX), formerly the Abuja Stock and Commodity Exchange; member, Chartered Pension Institute of Nigeria, CPIN and the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria, ICEN.
